Buttermilk French Toast

  • 8-10 slices Texas Toast
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Butter melted
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Milk


  1. In a medium sized bowl crack your eggs and your buttermilk, nutmeg, salt, cinnamon, brown sugar, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk to the bowl. Whisk well and set to the side.

  2. Heat your griddle to 325 degrees or your pan to medium high heat. (Let your griddle or pan get hot before using it)

  3. Dip one side of a slice of Texas Toast in your egg mixture completely coating it and do the same for the other side. Place on the hot griddle or hot pan immediately. 

  4. Let your slice cook on each side for about 3-5 minutes or until each side is golden brown. (Be careful not to burn!) 

  5. Repeat these steps for the rest of your Texas Toast slices then enjoy!
