The Art of Pausing When Necessary

January 24, 2021 Leave a Comment

art of pausing when necessary

If you’re an avid follower of my blog you probably noticed I was MIA last week. Between decompressing from a month long vacation, inauguration 2021, and getting back into the swing of virtual school it was an exhausting week. I normally push through tiredness but I’m learning the art of pausing when necessary. Last week was a much needed pause and I’m feeling refreshed for the new quarter and year.

This isn’t my usual blog post concentrating on structure and details of a lifestyle blog. This is a simple catch up with my audience. While also being transparent about life and how exhausting it can all be. I used to feel bad about taking a day or two off. Like, I was underachieving some unrealistic lifestyle goal by doing so. Which is crazy considering I create the goals, pace, and rules for my own life. I have learned over the years pausing is not only necessary, but it’s how we remain the best version of ourselves for ourselves and everyone around us.

For a quick recap of last week; Jordyn lost BOTH of her front teeth, I finally finished my vision board for 2021, we got a NEW President and first (Black) Woman Vice President of the United States, and I caught up on some movies I’ve been meaning to watch. (I highly recommend the movie One Night In Miami) It was a pretty good week in the Jamieson Household.

The good news about the art of pausing when necessary is having plenty of time to think about new content coming your way. New home decor and recipes will be up soon enough. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on to share with all of you. I’m also working on expanding my talents and visions for other projects this year. Stay tuned for more information in the near future. For now, here’s a full picture of my vision board for 2021. This is one of the therapeutic relaxing projects I needed this week. Looking forward to reflecting on my dreams and hard work over the years!
