Jamieson Family Photos 2021

December 9, 2021 Leave a Comment

It’s been two years since the Jamieson clan took professional family pictures and I couldn’t be happier with the results! We used our favorite Shreveport, LA photographer Holly, at Holly J Photography. The outfits came together even better than I expected. Especially since I shopped for them less than 48 hours before the shoot. Eek! Talk about cutting it close. I love sharing the photos with you guys because you all support myself and my little family with so much love. Here are a handful of our Jamieson Family Photos 2021.

30 Gifts For 30 Years

30 Gifts for 30 Years

September 27th, 1988 is the day and year a star was born.

OK, now that I got that out of the way I can be serious now hahaha.

Today is my 30th birthday and I couldn’t be more grateful or full of love. I’m grateful to have made it to see the age of 30. There are many who never did, or will, and for this I am forever thankful each year God allows me to grow a year older.

I decided to take a break from blogging earlier this year due to my pregnancy. It was an exhausting pregnancy and I struggled with staying awake the entire day let alone run a blog in the process. I’ve had plenty of time to plan and have some quality blog posts coming your way soon. From recipes to personal stories to DIY projects. They’re all coming soon.Read More

Happy New Year!

January 5, 2018 Leave a Comment

Happy first Friday of 2018! We’re five days into the new year, and it’s already been a busy start for the Jamieson household. Being a military family always means constant changes in family life and schedules. However, this year, the changes will be a little more drastic considering we’re adding another baby girl to the Jamieson clan on, April 22nd! Yes, I am currently six months pregnant, with one very active and extremely loved baby girl named, Riley. We found out in late August about my pregnancy, shared the news with loved ones in October, and had our gender reveal in December.

As if my pregnancy isn’t enough change for the new year, the hubby will be gone for the first three months of this year for various work activities. The great news about the hubby is, he is officially Tech Sergeant Jamieson. He sewed on his new rank the 1st of this year. Hopefully, this new rank will finally bring us orders to an exciting state, this year. (Preferably orders to the DMV area. Prayers are definitely appreciated!)

The last few months of 2017 brought a lot of events and growth for, Jordyn. She is 90% potty trained (only wears pull-up to bed), was a flower girl in her godfather’s wedding, and started playing organized sports for the first time. She played soccer followed by basketball. Although she enjoyed both, it was very evident Jordyn is a “hands on” type of athlete, so she enjoyed basketball more. She’s extremely excited to be a big sister and hugs/kisses “baby Riley” all the time. She likes to ask in the sweetest voice “can I give baby Riley a kiss and hug?” Melts my heart every single time. Her vocabulary is quite extensive, she’s unbelievably intelligent for her age, and she’s turning into such an independent (head strong) child. I don’t know where the time is going, but I wish it would slow down just a little bit.

If I’m honest, this pregnancy hasn’t been the easiest. Especially considering how easy my pregnancy was with Jordyn. Riley, not so much. Ha! Kris and I have known for a while that we would only want two (biological) kids, so we knew this baby would be our last (planned- lol) pregnancy. I think Riley was listening because she’s making sure this last pregnancy is memorable LOL. However, no matter the amount of nausea, sciatica nerve pain, or tiredness, as long as Riley continues to grow healthy and strong, I’ll continue to be thankful for every second of this pregnancy and this baby girl.

With all of the craziness happening this year, I wrote my goals down, and broke them up into three categories for more organization, and easier accountability. Personal, financial, and blogging/business goals. I made a vision board for the second year in a row, but I hung this year’s vision board up in my living-room to consistently see for motivation on those days I need an extra push. The one goal that directly relates to you all, my readers, is my consistency with publishing posts and being active on social media. It is easy to get caught up in everyday life and lose sight of passions dear to us, but I’m going to actively be and do better, for all of you, but myself especially.

My hope and prayer for all of us this new year is to change and excel in ways we once upon a time didn’t think possible. Whether it’s expanding your family, taking better care of your health, repairing a broken relationship with a loved one, getting a promotion, having the courage to quit that job you’ve always hated, starting your own business, moving out-of-state etc. Let 2018 be the year you do so. We have a brand new, clean slate, year and should use this time wisely. Life is too short to not be the best version of ourselves.

Happy New Year to all of you and I look forward to this year of blogging and journeying with all of you!

Happy New Year! 2018 (1)

Spring Flower Decor

May 25, 2017 Comments : 2

Spring may have officially began two months ago, but it has only felt like Spring the last two weeks. Living in Montana means our warmer seasons, Spring and Summer, start weeks after everyone else. When I first moved here it took a while to adjust to the crazy weather. After living here for over five years, I have started a seasonal routine, to get myself ready for the new season. One of my favorite ways to prepare for new seasons is to do a seasonally themed D.I.Y. project. This year I decided to do Spring Flower Decor centerpiece D.I.Y.s for a pop of color in my home.Read More

4 Years: 1,461 Days

February 23, 2017 Leave a Comment

Today the husband and I have been married for exactly 4 years. You know how people always talk about time flying? Yeah, this is one of those moments. The craziest part about this being our four-year anniversary is how much can change in only a matter of four years. To think of the two 23 year olds who got married in that church in, Evanston, IL four years ago, compared to the parents knocking on 30’s door year olds we are today…a lot has changed.Read More

This won’t be a  long blog post with personal life lessons or confessions. It’s the second Thursday of Black History Month, and I felt it necessary to share Jesse William’s amazing speech he gave at the BET Awards last summer for today’s, Throwback Thursday.Read More

Ares Chemo Update: 1st Month

January 12, 2017 Leave a Comment

Happy thankful Thursday, everyone! It’s been about six weeks since we first found out our beloved German Shepherd, Ares, has lymphoma. Lymphoma is cancer which causes the lymph-nodes all over the body to swell up. Without treatment they eventually swell up until they’re too large for the dog to handle and have to be put down. Read More

Summer Hiatus Over: Jamieson Diaries Is Back!

September 1, 2016 Leave a Comment

Happy September everybody! It’s been a very, what seems to be, short yet long three and a half months since I’ve last been here, but oh man am I happy to be back. In mid May (right after Mother’s Day to be exact) I decided to take a mini hiatus from blogging and concentrate more on social media connecting and sharing through pictures, tweets, and videos. I knew my youngest sister would be coming here to visit for the summer and we would all be engaging in summer activities and vacations that I decided it would be best to simply have uninterrupted fun while the short summer months were here. Although summer isn’t technically over, it’s pretty safe to say the kids being back in school, earlier sunsets, and fall decor in stores signifies in all of our minds, it’s over. I’m not complaining in the least bit though because I absolutely LOVE fall! But I’ll get more into my love of fall in a blog post later this month ;-).

I had a great summer filled with tons of love and laughs from loved ones. I hope you all enjoyed your summers as well and are successful in whatever this upcoming season has planned for you.

I wanted to say hello to all of you, tell you I’ve missed you, and can’t wait to share more awesome content with my even more awesome readers.

Happy Thursday folks!

Happy Birthday, Billie!

April 7, 2016 Leave a Comment

Today, Billie Holiday a.k.a. Lady Day, would have been 101 years old. I have always liked Jazz music, but my love for Jazz music really bloomed about 5 years ago. Naturally, Billie became one of my favorite jazz singers, ever. There is something about her music where you can feel the passion and/or pain in her voice, but she makes it sound like the most beautiful sultry voiced passion and/or pain you have ever heard. I am only 27 years young so Lady Day was well before “my time” as the older folks like to say lol, but quality music knows no age. I wish I could say I got to see a legendary musician such as Billie perform live, but I thankfully have her collection of beautiful music to listen to until the end of time. I will share my favorite Billie Holiday song with you called, Good Morning Heartache, below. I’m sure I’ve probably shared this song before at some point in time of my blogging history, but you can never have too much Billie in your life, especially this song. 😉

Happy birthday, Lady Day! I hope you’re resting easy.

Happy Birthday, Ash!

March 4, 2016 Leave a Comment

Today is not only #ThankfulThursday, but it is my cousin’s (who is more like my sister) 26th birthday! She’s clearly getting old and I’m clearly getting better LOL. I won’t bore everyone to death, but I wanted to take the time to wish her a very blessed and happy birthday. I’m so happy I get to call someone as crazy, and complicated (-_-) as you are, my cousin. I hope you recovered from your birthday celebrations LMAO. We love you so much and can’t wait to see you next month!

Happy birthday again Ash/Adeebo/Tunia! 🙂
