Have you personally ventured into the wonderful world of grocery pick up yet? I used Kroger’s grocery pickup for the first time two weeks ago. I know, I know, how can I be so late to the grocery pick up party, right? I’m a late bloomer. Sue me. But man oh man am I happy I gave it a try! I’ve done two full scale grocery pickups so far and I have already learned that doing grocery pickup actually save me money. Convenient and cost effective. Talk about a win-win! My oldest baby girl turned FIVE years old earlier this week. Usually I post on the day of my girl’s birthdays, but this has been a pretty emotional one for me. I still remember finding out I was pregnant with Jordyn. I remember her little kicks in my belly, and how tiny she was when she entered this world. April 19th, 2018 at 12:02pm I gave birth to a beautiful chubby cheeked, 7 lbs and 12 oz. baby girl. She showed up with a head full of hair and a side eye that can still kill to this day. (LOL) She’s also my snuggle bug. We have been snuggling and hugging since she came into this world. I’m still not sure how 365 days have gone by already, but here we are on April 19th, 2019. How many of you or your children are on the natural hair journey? Taking care of natural hair can be a chore in itself, but it’s worth the work. My daughter started paying more attention to her hairstyles about a year ago. After I braided her hair she ran to the bathroom mirror to admire her hair and tell herself how beautiful she looks. This is when I decided to have a little more fun and switch her hairstyles up every week.
I post Jordyn’s new hairstyles on social media (Facebook and Instagram) on Mondays. The more styles I post the more people are interested in the hairstyles. On numerous occasions people have recreated the styles on their little ones and told me how much they love them. Last weekend I dedicated a few hours of self-care to myself. I took a nice long bath, washed my hair, did a face mask, and drank a glass of wine. It was heavenly…while it lasted. About an hour and a half into my self-care session my oldest daughter, Jordyn, invited herself into the bathroom to ask me fifty questions. Making painted pumpkins for Halloween has become a yearly tradition for me. Each year I try to find a theme with three to four printable characters for my pumpkins. In past years I’ve done Nightmare Before Christmas, Ninja Turtles, classic monsters etc.
This year I turned to my Facebook family and friends for ideas on pumpkins this year. A few people mentioned the movie “Coco” and I realized as much as I love the movie this would be the perfect craft. Summer may be over a month away, but here in Montana, we’ve already had a few days of summer-like temperatures, and there couldn’t be a better time to eat a delicious, Berry Smoothie Pop! I take my little one to the park every day to run some of her energy off, and we always find ourselves coming back home looking for a delicious, quick, and more importantly, cold snack to eat.
