Tomorrow begins the start of the new school year for Jordyn. I have a first grader, and I’m still in disbelief about how fast times flies. They say it goes fast when you’re having fun, but it goes fast when you’re living everyday life. As most parents or guardians of school aged children know, this year is VERY different for one reason: Covid-19. Instead of doing the hybrid school model we opted to keep Jordyn home for 100% virtual schooling. While figuring out where she will sit to concentrate during school hours I decided to make the corner in our dining room Jordyn’s virtual school corner. I’ve been a busy bee during this quarantine by starting and/or finishing projects around the house. It’s actually been one of my favorite parts of being home because I don’t have the distractions or excuses to not finish them. One of my pride and joys of my kitchen is my spice cabinet. Spring may have officially began two months ago, but it has only felt like Spring the last two weeks. Living in Montana means our warmer seasons, Spring and Summer, start weeks after everyone else. When I first moved here it took a while to adjust to the crazy weather. After living here for over five years, I have started a seasonal routine, to get myself ready for the new season.
