Trolls Painted Pumpkins

trolls painted pumpkins

Happy October lovely people! October means Halloween and Halloween means my annual painted pumpkins reveal. This year I was fairly stumped on what characters to re-create for my pumpkin decor this year. Then it hit me my girls are currently addicted to the Trolls movies. They’re late bloomers in the Trolls territory, but lucky for me because that’s what inspired this year’s Trolls Painted Pumpkins theme.

DIY Charcuterie Snack Board

December 11, 2020 Leave a Comment

I created my first DIY charcuterie snack board last week and it was a hit! I threw my favorite cheeses, proteins, and snacks together to create this beauty. I even tried some new cheeses like a delicious cranberry white cheddar we loved. Fun fact: I just learned how to say “charcuterie” correctly like a week ago. Shoutout to my sister-in-law for her pronunciation help LOL.

salt dough Christmas ornaments

Tis’ the season to be merry and decorate everything. The house, Christmas tree, fire place mantel, dining room, etc.! But one of my favorite holiday DIY projects is making salt dough Christmas ornaments. They are super easy to make and all of the ingredients can be found right in your cabinets or pantry. The only things you need to buy, if you don’t already own them, is paint, pipe cleaners/string, and mod podge.

Toy Story Painted Pumpkins

October 13, 2020 Comments : 2

We’ve made it to mid October y’all! What a blessing it is to see this month especially in the craziness of this year. With Halloween night looking differently this year I’ve made sure to maintain the same level of holiday enthusiasm. Sure, trick or treating may not be it’s usual fun this year, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the Halloween fun is over. If anything we have to remain more creative than ever before. Every year the family and I paint pumpkins together while watching one of our favorite Halloween movies. In addition to those painted pumpkins I do my own themed painted pumpkins for our front porch. This year the theme is Toy Story Painted Pumpkins! Read More

DIY Kids Canvas Art

diy kids canvas art

I’ve been rearranging and remodeling the girls playroom area in the extra living room area. I’ll explain more and show more details once it’s complete. I can’t wait for the reveal! In the meantime, I’ve been working on ways to add original decor to the playroom. I have added a few cute little signs but I wanted the decor to be a direct reflection of the girls. This is when I came to the conclusion to hang the DIY kids canvas art they’ve already made, and create some new ones.Read More

Hidden Clubhouse Remodel

hidden clubhouse remodel decor

This past Christmas I asked family to buy more experiences vs. toys for the girls. I provided them with a list of places like movie theater passes, local science museum or aquarium memberships, etc. However, I remembered my husband and I had discussed turning the coat closet underneath the stairs into a little hidden clubhouse for the girls. Or the “Harry Potter” closet as we like to call it. After a few weeks of brainstorming color schemes and set up I had settled on the kids hidden playroom remodel.
