25

November 20, 2015 Leave a Comment

The title of this post should be self explanatory if you’ve been on the internet within the last 12 hours. However, if you are lost on the meaning of the number “25” on today’s date, it is the name of Adele latest album which was released, today, and it has been four years since she last released an album. I love Adele. She has a voice that can’t be faked and talent that can’t be imitated. She sings some of the most beautiful lyrics you will ever hear, whether the lyrics be beautiful in love or loss. If you haven’t listened to the album yet, I highly recommend you give it a listen A.S.A.P. I have personally listened to “Million Years Ago” about 50 times since earlier this morning. I feel her words to “Million Years Ago” in my soul, and it takes me away to another place in my mind. My other favorite songs/recommendations are “Remedy” and “All I Ask.”

In honor of today being “Adele Day” I wanted to share my favorite Adele song with all of you. This was one of my favorite songs to listen to in college and it’s a combination of beautiful vocals and nostalgia all wrapped up in one.

It also helps today is Friday, and in addition to the weekend we have great music to listen to. If you are like us, you are getting snow this weekend, which only makes it feel even more like the holiday season. Thanks for giving us beautiful music this season, Adele!

Happy Friday everyone!

“The Moon And The Sky”

September 16, 2015 Leave a Comment

This song always makes me think about college. I listened to this song at least once a day my Junior and Senior year. Sometimes we find ourselves being connected to songs without having a particular reason, and this song is one of those for me. However, I do love Sade in general. I believe there is a timelessness and real-ness to Sade’s music. Every time I hear this song it’s like I’m listening to it again for the first time.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :-). Happy Wednesday, everyone!

8 Years Later..

August 31, 2015 Comments : 2

Today my husband and I have been together for 8 years. It almost seems impossible for it to have been so many years. How does time move so fast? When did all of this change happen? And how? I guess time flies when you’re having fun. It also flies by when you’re busy, you know, living life. I was 18 years old and Kris was 19 years old when we started dating. We were children who thought we actually had life figured out for the most part. I know, it’s laughable, but doesn’t every 18 year old think their miraculous “legally adult” age makes them knowlegable about life. Go ahead and roll your eyes, then laugh at how hilarious and ridiculous we were at 18 years old LOL.

We were just a couple of college students who were counting the money in their bank accounts praying we had a enough to buy the Wendy’s we didn’t need and still be able to participate in weekend campus festivities. Ahhh yes, the young and in love college life. We spent a lot of days eating made to order meals from Loyola’s “Rambler Room” using my “Rambler bucks” considering we didn’t have any real bucks to eat elsewhere haha. Thankfully, the food in the Rambler Room was always good, and not cafeteria food.

I believe one of the greatest and hardest parts of being together from such a young age, is changing and growing with the same person over time. We both look back at how we thought about certain ideas and can’t believe we ever thought it to be okay. Don’t even get us started on the horrible fashion choices we made. We have way too many pictures to prove it too. For example:

collage

I’m sure you’ve noticed Kris’ sliced eyebrows, and overly huge and colorful clothing. Now focus on my cheap but huge earrings, hair ribbon, and costume jewlelry. And we thought the other person was SO attractive in this attire too. That’s real love! LOL.

But out of all of the changes and growing we did as individuals, we somehow figured out how to grow individually, but with each other in the process. Sometimes we went through growth spurts simutaneously and other times we were on completely opposite schedules. As with any relationship, especially young relationsips, we hit quite a few bumps in the road. From learning who our friends were to learning how to love unconditionally, it took a lot of tests that we sometimes failed. Thankfully, in this love, we each found a person who believes in second and third chances to pass some of the tests we always knew they could with some extra encouragment. The beauty of multiple tests is, when you pass, the triumph that follows always makes it worth it.

Our tests and triumphs are what make us who we are. For us in particular, it’s what makes us, Brie and Kris. I often hear people say “I wouldn’t change a thing..” about their past life encounters, but I don’t think this is true. I believe if we were able to change some things in our lives we would go back and make the decision to erase all disappointment, hurt and pain. However, what we learn over time is, changing the past wouldn’t have taught us any lessons. It is because we know what disappointment, hurt and pain feel like that we fully appreciated what happiness, joy, and thankfulness feel like. Without the bad days we can’t appreciate the good ones. I think this is the one particular lesson we have continued to learn and appreciate over time, and even more so now in marriage.

A marriage, and child later, we are always learning new ways to love one another and challenge one another. We’re learning 8 years later nothing is ever the same. We already know year 8 will be different from every year past and every year to come. However, the one thing that remains the same 8 years later, and always will, is unconditonal love is always the correct answer to any test thrown our way.

I’m so happy I get to spend another year unconditionally loving someone who loves me unconditionally.

Happy anniversary babe! I love you.

Chicken Verde Enchiladas

May 5, 2015 Leave a Comment

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I am having an all Mexican food themed appetizer, dinner, and dessert meal this evening. Our neighbors will join us, in addition to, bringing some Mexican themed beverages and side dishes. In the spirit of today I figured I would share what I am making for dinner, tonight, as well as one of my favorite Mexican dishes to make and eat.  That dish would have to be, Verde Enchiladas. To be more specific, the “verde enchiladas con pollo” from La Unica, on the north-side of Chicago. The first time I went to La Unica, was for my friend, Brittany’s birthday, I believe sophomore year of college. It was a surprise when we arrived at the location, I knew it was a grocery store, but had no clue there was a restaurant in the back. A restaurant that serves multiple Hispanic culture types of food. And you know the food is legit when the entire menu is in Spanish too.

Unfortunately, living in Montana means in order to get my authentic Mexican food fix, I had to figure out how to make it myself. I’ve searched for months to find a decent verde enchilada recipe, and thankfully taking a little piece of each recipe, in addition to adding my own ingredients, I have come up with a recipe that is pretty close to La Unica’s. To make this recipe you will need:

IMG_2327

1 lbs tomatillos

2-3 chicken breasts

12 corn tortillas

1/2 white onion split into 1/4ths

1/2 block queso fresco shredded

1 tsp garlic (2 cloves)

1/2 jalapeno pepper

1/2 cilantro

3/4 cup corn oil (1 Tbsp per tortilla)

2 Tbsp grapeseed oil (or oil of your choice)

Seasonings for chicken

Mexican creme (to drizzle on top of finished meal)

IMG_2321

In a bowl, clean your chicken with vinegar, rinse and drain all liquid. You will now season your chicken with your desired seasonings. I don’t measure my seasonings for the most part, but if I had to estimate how much of each to use, I would say use at least one teaspoon of each seasoning on your chicken breasts. I highly recommend using Adobo as one of your seasonings.

Now, you will heat your 2 Tbsps of grapeseed oil, in a pan over medium high heat, and brown your chicken breasts on both sides until both sides are golden brown. Once both sides have been browned, turn the heat down to medium-low heat and let the chicken breasts cook on the lower heat for about 20 minutes.

While your chicken is cooking, peel the husks off of your tomatillos and clean them in a bowl with warm water and vinegar until all of the stickiness from the husks has been cleaned off. Fill a medium sized pot a little over half way full with water, add your teaspoon of garlic to the water, and bring to a boil. Once the water is bubbling up to begin to boil, add your tomatillos to the water and let them boil until they are a pale green color. I usually let them cook for about 10-15 minutes.

IMG_2329 (2)

Once the tomatillos are finished cooking add them to a blender along with half of your white onion, jalapeno pepper, and cilantro. Blend all of these ingredients together until they are smooth like a verde sauce. If you want your sauce to be a little thinner, add some of the water from the pot you boiled your tomatillos in to the blender. Add salt and/or pepper to taste. I prefer to use sea salt for my verde sauce.

IMG_2331

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Your chicken should be done cooking by now. Take the chicken breasts out of the pan and put them on a large plate. Since they are still hot, take two forks or a fork and a knife, and shred the chicken on the plate until all chicken breast pieces have been shredded. Sit your shredded chicken to the side and let it cool off a little bit. While you are waiting for the chicken to cool off, in a separate pan on medium high heat, put a tablespoon of the corn oil in the pan, and let it heat up. Once the oil is hot, you are going to quickly put your tortilla in the oil on both sides for about 10-15 seconds. You want to be sure you aren’t cooking them until they are hard, because you won’t be able to roll the tortillas up without them breaking them if you do.

IMG_2333

After you have done this for all 12 tortillas, stack them on a plate and set to the side next to your chicken. You will not shred your queso fresco, and cut your remaining white onion into pieces. Place both items in separate bowls and place next to your shredded chicken and shredded queso freso.

IMG_2334

Get a 9×9 baking dish and wipe the inside of it with corn oil using a paper towel to help prevent any unnecessary sticking. Take a tortilla, place the desired amount of shredded chicken inside, roll it tightly, and lay the enchilada in the baking dish with the open end of the tortilla face down. Repeat and do the same for all of the tortillas. If your 9×9 baking dish is like mine, you will need to cut your last enchilada in half and place the two pieces in the corner of the baking dish.

IMG_2335Now that all of your enchiladas are rolled and placed in the baking dish, pour your verde sauce over them. I like my enchiladas with plenty of sauce so I use all of the sauce prepared. If you don’t like yours as “saucy” I would gradually add the verde sauce until you have the desired amount covering your enchiladas. Put your enchilada dish in the oven for 10 minutes. Once the 10 minutes are over, take the dish out of the oven and add your shredded cheese on top of the enchiladas. Place the dish back in the over for 5 more minutes, or until all of the cheese has been melted. When the dish is done take it out of the oven, sprinkle your chopped up onions on top of the dish, and enjoy! 🙂

“Good Morning, Heartache”

April 15, 2015 Leave a Comment

I don’t know if I have mentioned it before, but I have realized how much I appreciate and love jazz music within the last few years. One of my absolute favorite artists of the jazz genre is Billie Holiday a.k.a. Lady Day, herself. She had such a smooth and sultry singing voice, and I only wish I could have been around to see her perform live. Not to mention she was absolutely beautiful. It’s amazing how someone with such a rough past was able to bring such beauty to others using her voice. There is an awesome, and historically known, jazz lounge in Chicago one of my roommates and I discovered in college called, the Green Mill. Many well-known jazz artists have performed at this lounge, and as I’m sure you have guessed, Lady Day was definitely one of them. As if this lounge couldn’t be more amazing, I found out Billie had performed there on multiple occasions and it’s been my favorite ever since. 🙂

Billie Holiday would have turned 100 years old, last week, on April 7th, and social media celebrated her with the hash-tag #BillieAt100. I added this particular song as my contribution to the hashtag remembering such an amazing songstress. This is my favorite Billie Holiday song and would like to share it with those of you who may have never heard it before, or would like to take another listen.

Happy Wednesday!

Happy 19th Birthday, Taylor!

March 30, 2015 Leave a Comment

My sister, Taylor, turns 19 years old, today. Sometimes I still can’t believe she’s old enough to walk and talk on her own, let alone old enough to be in college. There is something extremely special about being a big sister. You get to watch your younger siblings grow from little helpless babies to strong independent adults. Tay is currently in her freshman year of college, working part-time, and finding time to spoil her niece in between :-). This won’t be a long blog post, but I just wanted to be sure to wish you a very happy and blessed 19th birthday. I hope you get spoiled rotten, today, and don’t take for granted being able to see another year. Jordyn and I look forward to seeing and spending time with you in June. We love you SO much! Happy birthday again! <3

Wisdom Wednesday: Morgan Smith

March 25, 2015 Leave a Comment

I’m about two weeks late on my March Wisdom Wednesday person, but it’s been a crazy month, and better late than never, right? I decided for this month’s Wisdom Wednesday person I would ask her direct questions and do a sort of question and answer session. However, I will fill in with a few personal feelings in between. I met this month’s Wisdom Wednesday pick, Morgan Smith, my freshman year of college at, Loyola University Chicago. I don’t quite remember when we met exactly, but I want to say it was in one of my sociology classes. Although I can’t remember the exact time and place where we met, I remember thinking she was a sweetheart. Every once in a while we meet people who give us genuinely positive vibes, and she was one of those people for me. As I explain a little bit more about who she is, what she does, and what she stands for, you will soon see how my general instinct of Morgan couldn’t have been more correct.

Question 1: What made you want to be a teacher?

Answer: “I’ve wanted to be a teacher my whole life. Teaching is in my blood. My great-grandmother used to teach kindergarten through 8th grade in a one room school-house in rural west Virginia. My grandmother and mother are both educators as well. It was something that I just fell into, and always knew I would end up doing it. If you were to ask my younger brother, he’d probably say that I just like bossing people around.”

I would say teaching is in her blood as well. This is a picture of Ms. Smith during Christmas time. I don’t know about you, but she would’ve been my favorite teacher, ever, simply for dressing up as Miss Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch. And she did pretty good if I must say so myself!

Question 2: What is your favorite moment so far since being a teacher?

Answer: “I’ve had lots of favorite moments as a teacher…it’s hard to pin point one. So many of them are seemingly insignificant moments that others would deem ordinary. A few of my favorites have been watching my students’ faces as they got to look out at their beautiful city from the Willis Tower after the entire field trip had been funded by friends of mine. Every single third grader in my school was able to go on a field trip that would have otherwise been too expensive for them to go on. Watching them witness the sights from 103 stories up was incredible. Another favorite moment of mine (more funny than anything) has to be when I was sitting in the rocking chair during a reading lesson, and a student right at my feet kept interrupting saying it smelled like Ruffles (chips). I asked him to be quiet, but you could tell he was trying to figure out where it was coming from. He kept leaning towards my feet (I was wearing leather flats) and sniffing and saying, “Mmmm! I want some Ruffles!” It took me a minute to realize he was smelling my shoes and I tried not to laugh. I felt so bad that this boy was salivating over the smell of my shoes that the next day I brought him a bag of Ruffles and put it in his mailbox. He came up and gave me a hug. I honestly could find a moment in every single day that could be considered a favorite!”
One of my personal favorite Facebook moments of Ms. Smith’s class was seeing her buy all of the fleece fabric on Black Friday last year, to make each student a personal blanket for their Christmas gifts. Seeing someone take that much time to do what would be such a simple gesture to others, I’m sure meant the world to those kids. The cover photo is a picture of Ms. Smith posing with the class as they’re wrapped up in their new Christmas present blankets.

1510782_10202037604799379_1273762977_n

Question 3: What has been your most challenging moment?

Answer: “There are so many moments in teaching that challenge you. Moments that challenge your patience, emotions, and physical body. When I first began teaching I had one of the toughest behavior challenges in my class. A cute little girl, who at the flip of a switch could lash out violently against me or other students. It got so bad several times that desks would be overturned, and I would end up with handprints on my arms. I was so physically and emotionally exhausted from not only being a first year teacher, but trying to figure out how to teach 25 other kids with this girl in my class, that I began to get sick. I was throwing up before school every day, getting hives all over my body…I didn’t think I was cut out to be a teacher any more. Then my mom sent me a quote, “Students who are loved at home, come to school to learn. And students who aren’t come to school to be loved.” That quote changed my outlook on teaching students with behavior issues. So many of them are going through unimaginable situations at home, and I have to remind myself that they are acting out because they need extra doses of love throughout the day.”

Another Facebook moment of Ms. Smith’s shows no matter how hard these kids may have it in life, and no matter if they may not say out loud to their teachers that they’re changing their lives, they will always express it in some way. Here is an example of a note Ms. Smith confiscated from a student who was passing it to their friend during class. I remember her captioning it and saying she couldn’t even be mad when the note says something as amazing as this..

1507184_10204819980357029_8698612386886868722_n

Question 4: What is the most important lesson you want your students to take away from your class?

Answer: “They are special. They are loved. They are capable. They are smart. Despite the backgrounds, home lives, socioeconomic statuses, and zip codes of my students…I believe 110% that I’ve taught at least one future president, neurosurgeon, Broadway actor, and entrepreneur. My students amaze me daily at their resiliency and drive to do better than the day before. I honestly don’t care if my students remember their multiplication facts (although I believe it’s a necessary skill), I don’t care if they learn to spell perfectly. I want them to remember me the same way that I remember my favorite teachers…that they were loved, and that they were pushed to be better versions of themselves. I want them to walk away from my class knowing that they are capable of anything as long as they put in hard work…even though they might have to work 10 times as hard (as unfair as it may be) than their suburban, white, counterparts.”

Morgan’s answer to the last question is what made me want to make her my March Wisdom Wednesday, person. If the world had more people who cared about other’s well-being as much as she does, it would be a much better place. We need a Ms. Smith (soon to be Mrs. Shah) in every classroom around the world.

I have been abundantly blessed to know many amazing people in my only 26 years of life, and I’m happy Morgan Smith is one of them 🙂

Why “A Different World” Still Matters

March 16, 2015 Comments : 2

Today, the entire series of the show “A Different World” was released on Netflix. Anyone who knows me knows this is one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, television show. If you have never seen “A Different World” I highly suggest watching it on Netflix and enjoy being reminded of what great television used to look like. (Also, I’ll go ahead and give you the heads up and let you know season 1 of the show when Lisa Bonet was the star, is not that great. It’s pretty boring, with random funny moments. So just push through season one and you’ll get to the good stuff.) The reason I love this show so much is because of how it portrayed young Black people, and more importantly, the very crucial and valuable messages plenty of the episodes taught me and everyone else who watched it. Although this show was originally a spin-off of the Cosby Show, following Denise’s college career, I believe “A Different World” was the more important show between the two. Not saying the “The Cosby Show” wasn’t a game changer for Black people on network television, but “A Different World” was a life changer for anyone who encountered it.

I say this show STILL matters because it has almost been 30 years since this show first aired, and it’s still just as important now as it was then. I remember watching this show with my Mom when I was younger, and although I didn’t completely understand what college was, I knew I wanted to go because of this show. (However, I would quickly learn, college wasn’t an option in my household anyway, but thanks for making it look interesting, cast of the show lol.) It was so awesome to see this group of people who looked like me, being amazingly flawed people, preparing to do great things. I wasn’t until I started watching the show again in high school and college that I then realized how important this show was to the television industry and life in general.

If you have watched this show, then you remember the “date-rape” episode of the basketball jock attempting to rape Freddie on their date, because “when girls say stop, don’t tell me you actually stop?” Do I even have to elaborate on how relevant this way of thinking is in today’s society of teaching women how to not get raped vs. teaching men to simply not rape? I didn’t think so. There was the HIV/AIDS episode where we learned the basics of always practicing safe sex in addition to how ignorant many people were to how HIV/AIDS works and what it does to the body. With today’s high STD/STI rates, I would say there is still a lot many of us could learn about practicing safe sex. There was the big game day episode which targeted racial discrimination and tension in this country. It was in this episode Dwayne Wayne delivered one of the best speeches while in the jail cell with the perpetrators. Then there was the two-part episode about the Rodney King trial and the “not-guilty” verdict that sent Los Angeles into riots all over the city (which ultimately ended up getting the show cancelled). I don’t think I have to explain how relevant both of those episodes are regarding racial tensions and police brutality with everything taking place in this country within the last few months. However, the one episode that always makes me realize how relevant this show is today, is the time capsule episode. They made a video time capsule where they shared important topics they wished to be better and for people to be better educated on in 20 years, and sadly not much has changed since that video.

I feel this show being added to Netflix, today, couldn’t have been added at a better time. With all of the trash, so-called, television taking up air time and clouding people’s minds, we need to be reminded of what great television shows look like. I’m specifically referring to the Black community too. With all of the “Love & Hip Hop” or “Real Housewives” shows portraying Black people in ways that only adds to the stereotypes of who we AREN’T, shows such as “A Different World” are missed. Thankfully, we have shows such as “Blackish” trying it’s hardest to make up for the lack of positive Black culture television, but unfortunately, “Blackish” can’t do it on its own. We need more writers, producers, actors and actresses who want to eliminate and denounce the stereotypes of the Black community instead of doing the opposite. We need more Black people who want to watch quality television instead of trashy television. We simply need more “A Different World” and “The Cosby Show” in our lives.

I’m thankful I was raised to watch and appreciate such quality television. I’m thankful shows like “A Different World” showed me what I could look forward to growing up. I’m thankful I learned at an early age through this show that the world is not just Black and White. I’m thankful I grew up in the 90’s before reality television was popular. More importantly I’m thankful “A Different World” existed and I’m thankful Netflix has brought such greatness to it’s streaming line-up.

Thank you writers and creators of “A Different World.” Your show will always matter and be the reason many young people, like myself, looked forward to receiving a college education. Thanks for creating one of my favorite shows ever! 🙂

“How To Get Away With Murder”

February 27, 2015 Leave a Comment

*SPOILER ALERT* if you have not watched last night’s season finale of “How To Get Away With Murder” I would not read this post. You have been warned.

Asher: His terribly corny slang talk is hilarious. Him being clueless to everything happening 99.9% of the time makes it that much funnier. He’s clearly starting to fall in love with Bonnie too. (Ugh, terrible idea) And why did the prosecutor want to talk to him? I guess we’ll find out in September.

Connor: This dude is such a sarcastic, Mr. Know-It-All, high strung, smart aleck, who apparently wasn’t smart enough to use protection every time he had sex. What everybody can learn from him and his “partner” is to WRAP IT UP.

Michaela: We got to see a first hand look at her sass and feistiness last night on both Rebecca, and her almost monster-in-law. The whole her standing up to Aiden’s Mama, and breaking out the southern country girl twang, while flat out telling her “I’m not giving the ring back” was awesome. Maybe confused ex-fiancé, Aiden will stop putting up the front of liking women.

Laurel: While talking about Michaela’s engagement ring, I’m sure NONE of us saw Laurel being the insanely smart yet conniving person she is. She’s had Michaela’s ring this ENTIRE time. I feel like she’s been underestimated the entire show (by myself as well) and will be showing us a lot more of why she deserves to be working with Annalise Keating in season 2.

Wes: Poor “Waitlist.” He’s such a lost little puppy dog. He wants to love Rebecca SO badly, but give justice to everyone in the process, that his nice boy, “I don’t want to hurt anyone” image is tarnished. Annalise was correct last night when she said they forced him to “grow-up” during all of this. I bet next season he’ll go looking for Rebecca to apologize for not trusting her. Too bad she’s dead.

Rebecca: Speaking of the devil. I personally never liked this girl. She seemed like a liar and manipulator from the very beginning. The more sneaky and shady stuff she did, the more I was convinced she was the killer. I don’t care what she’s been through. How do you live with yourself knowing you gave a guy drugs that had him committed to a psych ward, and take the Christmas money his Granny sent him in the process? I guess it doesn’t matter anymore though since someone finally killed her. It was only a matter of time. Oh, and WHO THE HELL DID SHE TEXT FROM MICHAELA’S PHONE?!

Nate: He is one very patient and forgiving man. Besides the fact that he’s a terrible human being for cheating on his terminally ill wife with Annalise. Does he really care for Annalise THAT much? He lost his job, has been accused of murdering his side piece’s husband, and got beat down in jail in the process. I would like to say this isn’t karma for being a cheating dog while married, but then I’d be lying. Oh, well.

Bonnie: I simply don’t like her. I don’t trust her and I haven’t trusted her since the beginning. I honestly thought she killed Lila considering how noticeable it was she had feelings for Sam, and was willing to act on them in her boss’s home/her place of business. I’m also enjoying the “Pot meet Kettle” storyline going on between her and Frank. Maybe next season I’ll like her. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Frank: What Huck is to Olivia Pope, Frank is to The Keatings. He is one nice bearded, good looking, female student chasing, shady GANGSTER. Because I did NOT see this one coming. And Frank, just in case you were wondering, YOU ARE A HIT MAN. A damn good one at that too seeing you had us all fooled this season.

Sam: Let’s make this clear- althought Sam did not physically kill Lila with his own hands, he ordered for her to be killed. Therefore, Lila is dead, because of Sam. With that said, karma likes to do this thing where it comes around and bites people in the ass. Sam had Lila (a student) killed, and Sam ended up getting killed (by a student). Womp womp.

Annalise: Or “Anna Mae” as we found out her real name given at birth, in the last episode, is NOT a good person. Sometimes it’s hard to see when she is so intelligent and sharp. But if we REALLY reflect on her this season, we see an extremely screwed up person who screws up the people closest to her too. Getting the back story of her childhood and being molested by a family member helped it all make sense though. Hurt people, hurt people. At the end of this episode, she was repeating the line “Sam killed Lila” with Wes to help him believe it was true. It’s quite obvious she has said this lie to herself as well to not feel bad for helping plan the disposal of Sam’s dead body, as well as, having him convicted in court of Lila’s murder. Also, if I understood the storyline correctly, Sam married Annalise after cheating on his last wife with her? And he has cheated on Annalise on multiple occasions since they’ve been married? Who in turn got a boyfriend of her own, that she has set up for Sam’s murder, to save her students, but is going to help him NOT go to jail or be convicted, by any means necessary. See what I mean about her not being a good person? Exactly. However, she is a damn good lawyer. No doubt about it.

All I want to know is; why is it not September, yet? I’m ready for the twists, turns, and stress of season 2.
