It’s been two years since the Jamieson clan took professional family pictures and I couldn’t be happier with the results! We used our favorite Shreveport, LA photographer Holly, at Holly J Photography. The outfits came together even better than I expected. Especially since I shopped for them less than 48 hours before the shoot. Eek! Talk about cutting it close. I love sharing the photos with you guys because you all support myself and my little family with so much love. Here are a handful of our Jamieson Family Photos 2021.Read More
6 Natural Hairstyles for Kids
We’re in full swing of back to school season over here. Part of back to school season means cute but effective natural hairstyles for Black girls. If you are familiar with the effort put into natural hair then you know kids with heads full of hair like my Jordyn’s can be time consuming to maintain. The Art of Pausing When Necessary
If you’re an avid follower of my blog you probably noticed I was MIA last week. Between decompressing from a month long vacation, inauguration 2021, and getting back into the swing of virtual school it was an exhausting week. Learning & Loving My Blackness
Being Black in America has always been a layered experience for me. Most of us go through multiple life stages of defining or questioning what Blackness looks like to us. My experience of Black in America was also coupled with being raised by a Caribbean family and Caribbean values. Learning and loving my Blackness is still a work in progress, but I’m so thankful for how far I have come.

Jordyn Turns 5!
My oldest baby girl turned FIVE years old earlier this week. Usually I post on the day of my girl’s birthdays, but this has been a pretty emotional one for me. I still remember finding out I was pregnant with Jordyn. I remember her little kicks in my belly, and how tiny she was when she entered this world. I don’t know how she is five years old and starting kindergarten this fall. Where has time gone? Why does time go by so quickly?Read More
Happy 1st Birthday, Riley!
April 19th, 2018 at 12:02pm I gave birth to a beautiful chubby cheeked, 7 lbs and 12 oz. baby girl. She showed up with a head full of hair and a side eye that can still kill to this day. (LOL) She’s also my snuggle bug. We have been snuggling and hugging since she came into this world. I’m still not sure how 365 days have gone by already, but here we are on April 19th, 2019. Happy 1st birthday, Riley!Read More
