Once you’ve made your first simple syrup from scratch you never want to buy store bought syrup again. I specifically made this strawberry simple syrup recipe for my delicious Jamaican Rum Punch recipe. It’s the perfect pairing and the fresh strawberries add just the right amount of freshness. Also, look at how beautiful those strawberries are in the photo above. This recipe was truly meant to be!

  4. Once the mixture is boiling stir frequently for 2 minutes to avoid burning.

  5. Turn the heat down to medium-low heat and occasionally stir the mixture for another 5-10 minutes. *The longer it cooks the stronger the strawberry taste*

  6. Turn the heat off and let the strawberry mixture cool down.

  7. Use a strainer to pour the hot simple syrup liquid into a pitcher. Once it has cooled down pour the strawberry simple syrup into a glass bottle.

  8. Close up the bottle and keep in the fridge for any mixed drink!
