We’ve made it to the third Tuesday of the month which means another Transformation Tuesday is here. This week my transformation highlight in my home is the kitchen. Decorating a kitchen you can’t renovate from the bottom up can be difficult. This is why the kitchen decor and details matter in a space like this. Think of a color scheme you enjoy and try piecing together little details like the curtains to start.

If you don’t know this already we are a military family. For now, we live on base for many reasons, convenience being the main reason. Because we don’t own this housing we are limited in what we can do to our homes. In addition to the limitations we also know this home is just a stop on the journey of moving elsewhere. You’ll notice the color scheme for my kitchen decor and details is black and white. I chose those combination because it goes with everything. Meaning no matter what color the appliances and cabinets in our next home, the decor will work. This is a very important money saving detail for families like ours who move often.

Kitchen Decor & Details Items:
- The curtain set is from Target. They have multiple colors for this checker pattern, but black and white was my favorite.

- All signs (above the kitchen window, above the microwave, and above the pantry) are from Hobby Lobby. They were 50% of too which made my frugal heart happy!

- The little details like the candle, basket, plant and cork shadow box are some of my favorite parts of this kitchen. The candle is from Tj•Maxx, the gold basket is from Dollar Tree, the plant is from Kroger, and the shadow box is from Walmart. Each item under $10.

I’m impressed, simple but elegant.
I like that.
Thank you, BFF! Simple was definitely the goal.
