Happy evening before Halloween everyone! If you look forward to the holiday season as much as I do then you know how much fun it is to create holiday themed dishes. Especially for the kids such as kiddie cocktails. There is so much room for creativity and fun during these exciting months.
Anytime I can make something fun for my kids is considered a win in my book. What is more fun to a child than drinking a sugar filled drink with decorations made out of more sugar? Exactly! If I’m being completely honest this drink is nothing more than a fancy chocolate milk or hot chocolate for children. My daughter is all about fun sugary drinks so I didn’t have to think very hard on this one.
Although I made this drink with the standard milk and chocolate syrup, you can be as creative as possible, and make whatever drink your kids will love. Maybe add a pump of caramel flavor, or you can use anything from almond milk to non-dairy whipped cream. You can even switch the ingredients all together and make a fruity drink instead of a chocolate one if that’s what your kids prefer. This drink can be served hot or cold. My daughter doesn’t really have a preference but, if you decide to serve it hot remember your whipped cream will melt much faster.
Oh, and adults, don’t think I forgot about you! Although the drink is delicious on its own, feel free to add a shot of your favorite flavored liquor. Adults deserve to have some Halloween cocktail fun too. 🙂

Halloween Kiddie Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp chocolate syrup or cocoa powder
- 1-2 Tbsp honey
- 1-2 Tbsp sprinkles your color of preference
- 1 stacker marshmallow
- whipped cream
- pinch of cinnamon
- decorative eyes for baking
- decorative frosting (smallest tube)
Instructions
-
First you will want to put your marshmallow face together to give it time to dry while making the rest of the drink.
Take your marshmallow stick your toothpick in securely at the bottom. Using your decorative frosting "glue" your decorative eyes to the marshmallow. Use as many eyes as you want!
-
Mix your milk and chocolate syrup together in a separate cup to make your chocolate milk. If you prefer hot cocoa follow the steps to make hot cocoa for the drink.
-
Pour your honey and sprinkles onto two separate dishes and thoroughly coat the rim of your cup with honey. Then roll the cup in the sprinkles and until all of the honey is covered up.
*refrigerate sprinkle covered rim for 15 minutes upside down on the plate if your honey isn't thick enough.
-
Slowly pour your chocolate milk into the sprinkle covered cup. Add your desired amount of whipped cream on top. And lightly dust with the cinnamon.
-
Lastly, position your marshmallow face on the toothpick in your drink and enjoy!
