Cinnamon Apple Pie Cocktail

September 22, 2020 Leave a Comment

Happy first officially day of fall! Yes, if you follow me on instagram then you know fall started on September 1st for me. But today marks the official first day of fall and it’s only right that we celebrate with a fall inspired drink. This Cinnamon Apple Pie Cocktail is the definition of fall in a drink. And who doesn’t love apple pie especially in the form of an adult beverage?

Developing this recipe was like figuring out a science experiment. Remembering science class from high school and how certain ingredients don’t mix well together showed in full force. Ha! However, this challenge is one of the reasons I love creating recipes. There’s so much fun in experimenting with food and seeing what works and what doesn’t. Or what flavors will shock you at how well they pair together. This Cinnamon Apple Pie Cocktail is a sweet boozy dream in a glass. P.S. non dairy creamer or milk is the only way this recipe works.

If you’re looking for an easy to make dessert drink to impress yourself or others this is the drink for you. Let’s get this first day of fall started off right with the Cinnamon Apple Pie cocktail recipe below.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Apple Cider
  • 2 shots Fireball Whiskey
  • 4 Tbsp. Vanilla Almond Milk or Vanilla Almond Milk Creamer
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes
  • Cinnamon *for garnish
  • Apple Slices *for garnish
  • Caramel *for the rim
  • Graham Cracker *crushed for the rim

Instructions

  1. Crush a whole piece of graham cracker until the pieces are fine. (I put the cracker in a ziplock bag and use a rolling pin to crush it) Set to the side.

  2. Coat the rim of your cocktail glass with caramel dip or any other dip of your choice.

  3. Lightly roll the caramel covered rim in the crushed graham cracker crumbs on the plate. You can make this layer as thick as you’d like.

  4. In a separate glass- pour your apple cider, vanilla extract, and shot of Fireball Whiskey. Stir together until combined.

  5. Add your vanilla almond milk creamer or milk to the drink. Gently mix with a spoon or mini whisk.

  6. Add ice cubes, top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, slice of apple, and enjoy your drink!
