6 Comfort Food Recipes for Fall

Happy first official day of fall to all of you! Comfort season calls for comfort food and that’s exactly what I’m sharing with you today. These 6 Comfort Food Recipes for Fall are sure to get you in the spirit of crisp air, falling leaves, and warm blankets. Here we have a variety of recipes with multiple ways to prepare them. I love a good crockpot recipe just as much as I love a classic stove top recipe. When we switch it up we get to enjoy the much more. But what matters the most is to feel the comfort the comfort food gives to us in this season.

6 comfort food recipes for fall

The six recipes below are crockpot red beans, cajun chicken and shrimp Alfredo, homemade spaghetti sauce, homemade chicken noodle soup, five cheese and meat lasagna, and broccoli cheddar soup. When I say a variety of recipes are in this 6 comfort food recipes for fall I mean it. Being a foodie like myself means I need an extensive range of recipes to choose from weekly. The reason I picked these six recipes is because they are always favorites when I cook them for others. Whether it’s dinner at our home with loved ones or taking meals to loved ones they tend to love these recipes.

Who doesn’t love chicken noodle soup? Not only is it a favorite when we’re burning ourselves back to health, but it’s a warm hug wrapped up in a dish. Plus, fall means soup season, and who doesn’t love homage chicken noodle soup?!

5 Cheese and Meat Lasagna

I may not be Italian but my love for Italian food should make me an honorary Italian. There is something about a delicious red sauce recipe on a cool fall evening that feels like a match made in heaven. This 5 cheese and meat lasagna dish is more of a process than the other dishes but worth all of the work.

Cajun Chicken & Shrimp Alfredo

Don’t let anyone tell you homemade Alfredo sauce isn’t the best. Then when you add in the delicious flavors of the cajun chicken and shrimp this recipe tastes like you’ve been professionally cooking in a kitchen all of your life. I call this my special occasion recipe because as much as I love Alfredo the butter in the dish doesn’t love my waistline LOL.

Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

I honestly can’t tell you the last time I bought pre-made spaghetti sauce in the store. Not only is making your own more cost affective, but you get to control all of the flavors in it. If you’re like me then you love a good strong garlic taste in your spaghetti sauce. Either way impress yourself and others with this surprising easy dish.

Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Once again, fall means soup season. Is any soup season complete without broccoli cheddar soup on the menu? Not in our household! Especially for my oldest daughter who LOVES this soup. It’s easy to make and is another recipe you can adjust to your liking.
