Happy 5 year anniversary to us! On this day five years ago my husband and I said “I do”. Here we are two baby girls later and still finding ways to connection with one another. We often talk about how well we work because we’re a team. With each passing day and year we are able to go to the drawing board and be better than we were before.
This year will consist of so many changes for our family. Great changes but plenty of them. The biggest change of all: waiting for our second baby girl to make her entrance into this world. Unfortunately, this is the first wedding anniversary we will spend apart. Considering we’re a military family we should be counting our blessings that this is the first anniversary we’re spending away from one another. But it doesn’t make it any easier. Especially when I’d love to simply be in the presence of my favorite human being.
I don’t need to write a nine page letter to tell you how I feel because you already know how much I love you. But it never hurts to publicly tell your spouse how much they mean to you. So thank you for being the best husband, father, friend, and support system. These last few months have been a whirlwind, but you’ve handled all of the changes and pressure like a champ. It’s not easy getting up every day to do the stressful work your job requires of you, then come home and take care of your pregnant nauseous wife, and tend to your very energetic three-year old daughter. Even on my worse days you tell me how much you love me and how beautiful I am. Either you really are amazing or you’ve just learned to tell a huge pregnant woman what she needs to hear. (LOL)
God truly blessed us when he brought us together. Every day I’m sure to thank Him for this life and more importantly this love. Once again, happy anniversary baby. I will watch some Harry Potter and eat some ice cream with you on facetime later tonight. Although we may not be able to be in the same state we can still enjoy each other’s company through technology.
Jordyn and I will cheers with some sparkling apple cider. Here’s to many more anniversaries. I love you babe!
