One of my favorite parts of a new year is finding new ways to freshen up my home. If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for an area in your home to decorate or remodel. I decided to start on a smaller scale by sharing 3 Simple Bathroom Decor Ideas for your home. Whether your bathroom is larger or smaller these tips are great ways to freshen and modernize your home. I also appreciate sharing these tips because they’re realistically affordable.

As a military wife, with one steady income in our home, I realized how many home decor tips weren’t in my tax bracket (yet). Of course I love looking at the photos for inspiration on my own home, but the price tags weren’t realistic for people like myself and family. I decided to find more ways to incorporate affordable home decor ideas on my lifestyle blog. From simple kids canvas paintings for wall art to this 3 Simple Bathroom Decor Ideas for your home. Whether your bathroom is larger or smaller these tips are great ways to freshen, they’re affordable, easy, and fun!
These particular pictures and changes I will be sharing are from my downstairs guest bathroom. I wanted to start with the bathroom that gets the most foot traffic daily. The 3 bathroom decor tips are to add: artwork, basket(s), and a plant (or two).
Artwork:

This sounds more fancy than it actually is. You get to decide whatever art you want in your bathroom. This is my choice. I bought it years ago in Montana for $12 at Ross.
Tip: hand painted canvases are another frugal and fun way to add art to your bathroom walls.
Baskets:

Put everything in baskets! Not only is it great for organization but it makes everything look appealing. As you can see here I’ve thrown hands towels, toilet tissue, and counter stuff in baskets.

Tip: The wire basket with the hand towels is from Dollar Tree. Yes, only $1 each. And the wood baskets are from Michael’s. I paid $16 for both of them. Always check them out during their 40-60% off basket sales!
Plants:

Honestly, greenery makes any space prettier. It adds a pop of color that always matches the decor, and gives extra oxygen to freshen the room. You can decide on multiple small or two to three medium plants of your choosing.
Tip: Plants are thankfully not hard to find these days. I recommend looking up and starting with plants that don’t require a lot of care if you aren’t a plant person. My personal favorite is the snake plant family.
These bathroom decor ideas are fantastic! I love the creative use of color and texture. A great source of inspiration.
