Happy Independence Day, Belize! Today is the 40th anniversary of Belize’s independence from Britain. To celebrate such a special occasion I’m here to share one of my favorite Belizean dishes. Belizean Garnaches have been one of my favorite foods since I was a little girl. My love for them has only gotten stronger as I’ve gotten older. They’re easy to make and full of flavors you never knew needed to be put together.Read More

We made it y’all! We officially made it to the month of fall! Fall technically starts on September 22nd. However, I don’t need that type of negativity in my life so fall starts on September 1st in this household. Here is how my seasonal calendar works: Fall is from September 1st to October 31st. Christmas is from November 1st until December 25th. Yes, I said fall and then Christmas to describe the seasons. In 2019 we started a tradition of taking a road trip before the new school year starts. We went to Lafayette, LA and explored the area while eating good food. We obviously weren’t able to plan one for 2020 due to pandemic reasons. This year our before school road trip 2021 landed us in the Frisco/Plano, TX area. It was the perfect family mini vacation spot. Especially for those of us with little ones still. Frisco, TX is about 3.5 hours away from us so it was the perfect distance for a mini road trip with a 3 year old and 7 year old.Read More

August is here which means back to school season is in full swing! Jordyn starts 2nd grade next week and I’m still in disbelief. As we prepare her school uniforms, supply lists, and sleep schedule, we can’t forget lunch options. Since Jordyn started school back in 2018 I’ve always made a point to create fun lunch meals for her. One of my favorite lunches to make for Jordyn is this Back To School Lunch Box Idea using Land O’Frost® Premium Lunch Meat. Land O’Frost® is my go to because there are no artificial flavors and no by-products!Read More
Jamaica’s Independence Day is less than 2 weeks away on August 6th. What better way to celebrate than with one of people’s favorite drinks to come out of Jamaica? This easy but strong Jamaican Rum Punch is made with your classic Wray & Nephew white rum. If you’ve ever had this rum before then you understand why I used the word “strong” LOL. I will also add that if your Jamaican Rum Punch recipe is using a rum that isn’t Wray & Nephew you should question the authenticity of the recipe.Read More
