Strawberry Simple Syrup
Homemade simple syrup is so easy to make and tastes amazing. This strawberry simple syrup consists of 3 ingredients, is cost effective, and sure to be the best simple syrup you've tried in a while.
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 lbs. Fresh Strawberries
Wash and cut the tops off of the strawberries.
Then cut the strawberries into quarters.
Pour the water, sugar, and quartered strawberries into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once the mixture is boiling stir frequently for 2 minutes to avoid burning.
Turn the heat down to medium-low heat and occasionally stir the mixture for another 5-10 minutes. *The longer it cooks the stronger the strawberry taste*
Turn the heat off and let the strawberry mixture cool down.
Use a strainer to pour the hot simple syrup liquid into a pitcher. Once it has cooled down pour the strawberry simple syrup into a glass bottle.
Close up the bottle and keep in the fridge for any mixed drink!
